Nionex offers a Free Demo Version of its MHP (1) Platform pontegra. A Tool for Quick and Easy Interactive TV Services Development
GÜTERSLOH and RHEDA-WIEDENBRÜCK, Germany - The information systems specialist
Nionex provides its HTML-based pontegra platform as a free download. The product
makes the development of interactive TV services simple, rapid and inexpensive in that
any developer with HTML skills can transfer content to interactive TV.
pontengra acts as a browser that supports a subset of DVB(1)-HTML with full compatibility.
Content and services can be readily loaded just like any other MHP application, using a
commercially available set-top box. Much more than just an ordinary browser, pontegra's open
architecture makes it the ideal iTV platform for all iTV services such as EPGs, iTV portals,
T-
commerce, interactive TV game shows and viewer surveys, email, chatrooms and much more.
Nionex is primarily a software development and media agency. Users can test out pontegra for
one month free of charge. Toward this end, the company is offering a demo version of pontegra
(www.nionex.com) that contains all the key features of the full version. Users who wish to go
beyond the scope of the demo program can purchase an inexpensive developer's license that
provides a full-featured version of pontegra and enables the user to develop and test MHP
services quickly and easily.
Nionex will be at the IBC 2005 trade show, which will be held in Amsterdam this coming
September 9-13. You can find Nionex at booth 419, Hall 3.
